The Breed originated in Australia, but there are no Australian breeds of dogs in the mix.

The ALD's coat color gamma quite big, but the most common are gold, black, abricot, cream, chocolate and parti colors. The Australian Labradoodles have different types of coat, Flees, Wool and Hair. The coat is very stable.

Sometimes the ALD's coat color tends to fade or dim in color as they grow older. Labradoodles have a coat change phase between 8 and 15 months. During that period , the puppy coat sheds and lingers in the new adult coat. This often causes more tangles during this period. During this period it is important to check the coat for tangles and brush more often. The Australian Labradoodles have different types of coat, Flees, Wool and Hair.

Flees is the most common coat type between ALD's. It feels silky and soft. Can be straight, wavy and curly. The coat must be groomed every single 3-4 months the professional groomer who has experience with ALD's grooming.

Australian Labradoodles have square, stocky build and has tail follows the top line when in motion. ALD's can be Miniature 14-16 inches, Medium 17-20 inches and Standard 21-24 inches.
